Bond set for woman accused of vehicular homicide

Certain events in life can haunt people for years. They may have made one questionable decision that had substantial impacts, and as a result, they could have to find ways to deal with the repercussions of their actions. In particular, a person could face vehicular homicide charges if a DUI crash led to fatalities.

It was recently reported that a woman in Florida is currently handling this type of case. Apparently, last month, the woman was driving a vehicle when she purportedly struck three teens who were walking to a bus stop. The individuals were reported as being 13, 15 and 17 years old, and they all suffered fatal injuries as a result of the incident. The driver of the vehicle also suffered injuries and was taken to the hospital.

It was unclear how authorities determined that she was under the influence at the time of the accident, but nonetheless, she is currently facing criminal charges for DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide. She recently had a bond hearing and was granted a $300,000 bond. It was noted that it did not appear that she had obtained legal representation at the time of the report.

Vehicular homicide and manslaughter charges can easily have long-lasting effects on this Florida woman's life. She will undoubtedly want to ensure that she puts her best foot forward as her case proceeds. Gaining reliable information regarding her possible criminal defense options may allow her to feel more comfortable in the decisions she makes as she works to handle the allegations brought against her.
