Man charged for drug-related offenses, chews police car seat

People sometimes find themselves in situations where they cannot fully control their actions. In some cases, this type of scenario may result from having ingested a controlled substance or for some other reason. If a person is already facing criminal charges for drug-related offenses, additional misbehavior could lead to more criminal charges.

It was recently reported that a man in Florida was taken into custody on multiple charges. Authorities initially took the man into custody for possession of cocaine, but details were not given regarding what caused authorities to approach the man or to search him in the first place. During the search, officers allegedly found 40 grams of cocaine on the man. He was then placed in the back of a police vehicle to be transported to a local jail.

While on the way to the jail, the man reportedly bit chunks out of the patrol car backseat and chewed them up or ate them. It was unclear what may have motivated the man to allegedly act in such a manner. Nonetheless, additional charges were added due to that behavior. He is currently facing charges for cocaine trafficking, property damage and resisting arrest.

Allegations for drug-related offenses and other criminal activity can have major impacts on a person's life. The man charged in this Florida incident will certainly want to work toward the best outcomes possible for his predicament. It may seem like a long and difficult journey, but he has the right to maintain his innocence and defend against any allegations that have been brought against him.
