Firefighter faces DUI charge after multi-car accident

Crashes commonly result when individuals get behind the wheel while intoxicated. Another common result of such incidents is for the drivers considered at fault to face criminal charges for DUI. Depending on the outcomes and severity of such accidents, the exact criminal allegations may vary, and accused parties may benefit from fully understanding their cases.

It was recently reported that a Florida firefighter was charged after allegedly causing a multi-car accident. The man was reportedly driving a pickup truck when he crashed into five vehicles. At least two people suffered injuries in the incident. The man apparently left the scene on foot, and a police K-9 unit was utilized to find the man.

The police dog caught the man, and officers reportedly found him hiding under a bush. The man's pickup truck allegedly had a cannabis grinder inside, and he smelled of alcohol according to officers. The man has been placed on administrative leave without pay from the fire department, and he is currently facing multiple criminal charges, including DUI causing property damage, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting arrest, reckless driving and others.

This Florida man certainly faces a complicated case. In order to address the DUI and other allegations brought against him, it may work in his interests to gain information about the specific charges and how the details of his case may influence the possible outcomes. Creating a meaningful criminal defense may allow him to put his best foot forward when it comes to addressing the legal proceedings ahead.
