Wife of pro golfer charged with domestic violence in Florida

It is not unusual for families to have their squabbles. However, when those incidents escalate and involve violence, the situation can become something much more serious. In these cases, a person could easily end up facing charges for domestic violence.

It was recently reported that the wife of professional golfer Lucas Glover is currently facing this type of predicament in Florida. Apparently, his wife became upset and combative after Glover played poorly in the third round of The Players Championship. Glover's mother reportedly tried to come in between the husband and wife during the altercation, but the wife apparently began hitting her mother-in-law. An officer was apparently called to the scene, but it was unclear who may have alerted authorities to the incident.

The mother told the officer that her daughter-in-law had hit her in the chest, and there were cuts on the woman's arms. The wife was taken into custody on a charge of domestic violence, and she is also facing a charge of resisting arrest after she allegedly kicked and damaged the door of the police vehicle. It was noted that Glover's mother did not wish to pursue charges against her daughter-in-law.

Allegations of domestic violence should not be taken lightly. Individuals who have these charges brought against them will certainly want to do their best to create meaningful defense presentations in hopes of avoiding conviction. In order to determine their most feasible options for addressing such charges, accused parties may wish to utilize local Florida legal resources for reliable information.
