Florida man needs criminal defense for unusual animal cruelty

Criminal charges can come about for seemingly unbelievable crimes. While individuals not directly involved in the event may roll their eyes at the seemingly ridiculous nature of the incident, the person facing charges needs to take a serious approach. Any type of criminal allegation is sobering, and someone in this situation may find help by securing criminal defense information.

Some individuals in Florida may find this case unusual, but the man involved likely thinks it anything but funny. Reports stated that the man was in a park when he allegedly started karate kicking swans and ducks. One witness allegedly stated that the man struck the animals as hard as he could and then acted amused when other people indicated dismay at his actions.

It was unclear how authorities were alerted to the man's purported actions, but he was taken into custody. He is currently facing a charge for cruelty to animals. At the time of the report, the man was still in custody on a $1,000 bond. It was unclear whether he had obtained legal counsel, but additional information on the man's case may become available at a later time.

Though the situation may seem unusual, the man still has legal options when it comes to creating and presenting a criminal defense. In hopes of finding the best route for his particular case, he may find it beneficial to obtain information relating to his predicament from local Florida legal resources. These facts may allow him to determine what strategies could help him put his best foot forward.
