Florida man charged with assault after disagreement with roommate

The final straw in any situation could come at an unexpected moment. For some, they may simply feel unable to take certain behaviors any longer. As a result, they may lose their tempers and act in ways that could land them in serious trouble, especially if those actions allegedly involve assault.

One man in Florida was recently taken into custody on such charges. Reports stated that the man and his roommate had argued over the roommate's lack of cleanliness when it came to his cat's hair. The roommate reportedly did not clean the hair off the furniture, and as a result, the man wanted him to leave the residence. However, the roommate refused to leave, and the situation reportedly escalated.

The man allegedly shoved his roommate before drawing a firearm and firing a shot. The shot did not hit the other man, but he did suffer minor bruising after being jabbed in the ribs with the weapon. As a result, the man is facing criminal charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and other allegations.

When allegations relate to violent crimes, individuals may feel even more overwhelmed with their situations than with other charges. Fortunately, this man and other Florida residents in similar situations have legal options for creating criminal defense presentations. Each case is different, and therefore, it may be wise for anyone accused of assault or other crimes to thoroughly explore their defense options. Interested parties may also wish to consider enlisting the help of legal professionals to better understand the various aspects of their cases.
