Florida woman charged with DUI manslaughter after fatal crash

When a person needs to address a serious legal predicament, finding the best way to do so can seem challenging. If the individual has had no prior encounters with law enforcement or has had no other charges brought against him or her, the situation can seem even more daunting. Luckily, parties who have been charged with DUI and other crimes have the ability to gain information relating to their cases.

One woman in Florida will certainly be looking into her options after recently being charged. Reports stated that the allegations stem from a fatal car accident that took place in June. Apparently, the woman had been behind the wheel of an SUV when she veered into the opposite lanes of travel and crashed into another vehicle.

The driver of the second vehicle and a passenger in the woman's SUV both suffered fatal injuries in the incident. Authorities interviewed the woman and allegedly smelled alcohol on her person. It was also reported that her blood-alcohol level was purportedly .135 percent. As a result, she is currently facing charges for two counts of DUI manslaughter.

In order to address the DUI charges brought against her, this Florida woman may find it useful to become more knowledgeable on her situation. Information relating to how her charges may differ from other similar cases and what specific defense options she may have could help her determine her most plausible courses of action. A meaningful criminal defense could potentially help her work toward the outcomes she desires in relation to her case.
