Woman charged with driving under the influence in Florida

Though charges for DUI are fairly common, each person who faces such allegations must deal with the unique factors of his or her case. Because there can be numerous factors to consider, individuals attempting to handle charges for driving under the influence may wonder where to start. Due to the potential for confusion and stress, many parties choose to seek assistance during this time.

One woman in Florida may be hoping to explore her legal options soon due to recently being taken into custody. Reports stated that the woman was allegedly driving a vehicle when she struck another vehicle while attempting to change lanes. Several people called emergency services to report that accident, and one individual stated that there was a child in the vehicle and that the car seat had turned over.

Authorities arrived at the scene and reportedly had the woman participate in field sobriety tests. She alleged failed the tests and was taken into custody. Police purportedly discovered prescription pill bottles in the vehicle during a search. As a result, she was taken into custody on charges of DUI and other allegations. It was noted that she was released from custody after posting a $12,000 bond.

Though the allegations for driving under the influence and other charges may seem overwhelming, the Florida woman does have the opportunity to offer a criminal defense against these allegations. In hopes of making a meaningful presentation, she may wish to gain reliable information on her options. Becoming more knowledgeable on her situation may help her feel more confident as her case moves forward.
